Why Tofu Cat Litter Is Taking Over the American Market

I remember the first time a buyer from California called us. He said his customers were asking for “that flushable cat litter” but he couldn’t find a reliable supplier. That was three years ago. Today, tofu cat litter accounts for 40% of our export volume to the US.

“How do I know the quality is consistent?” We keep retention samples from every batch for two years. If a customer complains about clumping performance in month eight, we can pull the batch sample, retest, and determine if it’s a shipping issue or production variance. Last year we had three such investigations. Two were storage humidity problems in the client’s warehouse. One was a genuine formulation drift we caught and compensated for.

I always offer video factory tours. About 15% of serious inquiries accept. The rest just want samples and a quote. But the ones who tour—virtually or in person—become long-term clients. They see the pelletizing machines imported from Germany, the dust extraction system that keeps our workshop air below 2mg/m³, and the sealed packaging room where humidity stays at 45%.

We’re not the cheapest supplier in Hebei Province. I tell people that upfront. But we’re the one that answers WhatsApp messages at 10 PM, replaces damaged pallets without argument, and remembers your preferred scent ratios from order to order.
